Last month Steve and I spent 24 hours in New York City. We stayed the night at Hotel Pennsylvania. I would highly recommend this hotel for the convenient location. Across from Penn Station so the train to and from Newark airport landed us right across the street from the hotel. No carrying or rolling our baggage about the city. I will caution that the rooms are retro, small, no modern conveniences yet some rooms have a view of the Empire State Building.

I love trains and subways. This is me at the subway exit for Central Park South. 8th Ave, Broadway and 59th Street.
The Empire State building at 6pm on January 12, 2017. The hotel is only 2 blocks from the hotel.
This is Trinity Church at 209 Broad Street and Wall Street. The 9/11 memorial is close to this location so after seeing the memorial we walked to Wall Street.
Columbus at the beginning of the Literary Walk. As the Central Park website states, “he is the odd man out.”
Another plaque from the Literary Walk in Central Park. This one about Robert Burns.
Sir Walter Scott resting on the Literary Walk in Central Park.

I am putting this link to the Bridges of Central Park as another reference. Steve took pictures of the Home Alone bridge. Maybe later on I will update this post with a picture of that bridge.
