Guanella Pass

Steve and I went to Denver, Colorado on Memorial Day weekend.  On Saturday we went to Georgetown, Colorado and then Eli took us to Guanella Pass. Steve loves the mountains and here are pictures that were taken while there.

Yes that is snow on the ground.   Guanella Pass is an old wagon route which linked the mining towns of Georgetown and Grant, Colorado starting in the 1860’s.  The road has its steep areas and switchbacks.  It is well worth the trip to have these views.
