Steve and I returned late last night from a visit to the Motherland. This time our visit to our roots took us to the Capital Region of New York State. Steve and I lived in the area from November 1983 to Summer 1989. This is the area where our two sons were born, Kim’s career as a nurse was started and we cemented wonderful friendships.
On Thursday of our trip we wandered about Albany, New York. We drove down Central Avenue, to the Capitol. We toured Clinton Street where Kim made visits to see patients during her time as a public health nurse for Albany County.
We parked the car on State Street, near Dove to eat lunch at Bongiorno’s Italian Restaurant. The restaurant was in a house and had a cozy ambiance.
Once we completed our lunch we met up with our lovely Hannah who was also in the Albany area for the same reason as us. Before we met up with Hannah, the Wanderers, had to see their first home in the area so they drove down Olcott Lane to see the Carriage House where they lived for 6 months.
And as any coffee drinker knows all roads lead to Dunkin Donuts. Here we met our precious Hannah.
