Greetings my dear readers who are few!
It is November 1, 2014 and it is chilly here as I write this post. I just checked the temperature and it is 64 degrees inside our home and 46 degrees outside. I refuse to turn on my heat because I am stubborn and one of these days it will be 80 degrees outside here in East TX and I will not have to wear mittens and knit hat inside as I type away.
Steve is really freezing because he is out trying to kill Bambi this am. It is the first day of deer season here for guns and he is out trying to use his new/used Remington gun. All I know is that it was made in Ilion, NY.
What can I tell you about the Trekking Thompson’s today other then chilly? The leaves remain on the trees yet most of the pecans seem to be off. I continue to be obsessed with pumpkin and last evening I made curry pumpkin soup. This morning I made pumpkin pancakes and still have several pumpkin recipes to explore.
Looking forward to Eli coming home next weekend. We will be having Christmas one of those days as he will not be here for Christmas. He is flying west to Orange, CA for Christmas with his Aunt Gloria and Uncle Craig. I have packages to wrap for him to take home to Colorado when he leaves us. He is flying Spirit Airlines, meaning he will be coming with a backpack to avoid Spirits extra fees. Spirit is cheap but a pain to use. Going from Denver to DFW is ok because it is a short flight. I used in May to fly to Denver for a nursing conference and to see Eli.
Have a few things to do this AM, like bike to the post office. So until next time, may God richly bless you today.
